Privacy Policy

This policy explains what WotToWear (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the app, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because the app is simple: it’s your private closet with an AI stylist.

What we collect

Account

• Email address, name, username and password (stored by Firebase Authentication, never in plain text)
• Optional phone number and profile photo
• If you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile those services share with us

Your closet

• Photos of clothing items you add, and the details you or Mira record for them (category, colour, seasons, occasions, brand, size, price, notes)
• Outfits you create, favourite, schedule on the calendar or mark as worn, and your wear history and daily streak
• The photo of yourself you add for virtual try-on, and the try-on images you generate

Usage and device data

• Product analytics (for example which screens are opened) and crash reports, collected with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
• Basic device information attached to those reports, such as device model, OS version and app version

If you tap "Add weather", the app uses your device's approximate location once to look up today's weather. It is sent straight from your device to the weather service (Open-Meteo), rounded to about 1 km, and is never stored by us or linked to your account. We never collect your precise location. Calendar (optional): if you tap "Dress for my calendar", the app reads today's events on your device to judge how dressed up the day is. Event details are never stored or sent to us. Mira is only told a general label such as "a work meeting". Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not run a push notification server.

How we use it

• To run the app: store your closet, build outfit suggestions, show your calendar, streak and insights
• To power the AI features you choose to use (below)
• To keep the service reliable and secure, and to fix crashes
• To respond when you contact support

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

AI features and who processes your data

When you use an AI feature, the relevant photo or closet details are sent through our own servers to the partner that powers it, only to fulfil your request. These partners do not receive your name, email or account identifiers, and we do not allow them to train models on your data.

• Anthropic (Claude): clothing photos for auto-tagging, and closet details (not photos) for outfit suggestions
• Photoroom: clothing photos, to remove the background and make a product-style shot
• Google Cloud Vertex AI: your try-on photo and a garment photo, to render virtual try-on

Other service providers

• Open-Meteo: today's weather and trip forecasts, if you use them. It receives approximate coordinates (or a destination name) and nothing that identifies you
• Google Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, analytics and crash reporting
• Apple and Google: if you choose Sign in with Apple or Google

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual items and outfits at any time, or delete your whole account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, closet, outfits, photos and sign-in. Backups, where they exist, are purged within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

• Edit or delete your information in the app
• Delete your account yourself, without contacting us
• Ask us for a copy of your data or any other privacy request at techfmr@gmail.com
• If you are in the EEA, UK or California you may have additional rights, such as access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will help.

Children

WotToWear is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
